This Wisteria blooms in the month of May with abundant lilac-blue, lightly fragrant flowers in hanging racemes. Followed later in late summer by velvety green legumes. Wisteria ‘Domino’ flowers at a fairly young age. This Wisteria is very similar to Wisteria formosa Issai.
Growth habit: Creeper up to about 10 meters high. Ranking with the sun, winding to the right.
Flowers: Light lilac in 18 to 25 cm long racemes. A beautiful, very richly flowering cultivar.
Flowering time: May – June
The beautiful Wisteria Blue Dream displays stunning long racemes of up to 50cm, bearing powder blue flowers with a slight yellow eye, and a light fragrance.
Prolific has more flowers per truss than other varieties. The individual flower is also larger than average. This means that the Prolific has very beautiful, full flower clusters.
Longwood purple is less vigorous than the asian types, making it more desirable for those who don't like those fast growing types.
