Lipstick is known as Kuchibeni in Japan. It has masses of fragrant, mauve-pink flowers that gradually fade to white. They begin to emerge in early Spring through into Summer.

Growth habit: Creeper up to about 10 meters high. Ranking with the sun, winding to the right.

Flowers: The flowers are very light pink to white in slender 35 to 50 cm long thin racemes. Sweet scented.

Flowering time: May-June.
